Having completed post-secondary education (Bachelor of Science - Memorial University of Newfoundland), Dr. Gregory Barban graduated from Dalhousie University Medical School (M.D.) following a rotating internship with the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Following a year as Assistant Medical Officer at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander Newfoundland, Dr. Barban went on to complete a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto Teaching Hospitals where he served as Chief Resident at the Toronto General Hospital.
Upon completion of his ophthalmology training, ophthalmologist, Dr. Gregory Barban moved to New London, NH where he established Barban Eye Associates.
